Sommerkamp Theo Enoch Sommerkamp, age 84, passed away, 5 p.m. on April 19, 2013; a Christ-loving father and husband, who prayed for everyone he met. A Missionary Journalist, Theo spent his life in work for his Lord Jesus both in the United States and in Europe. Theo met his wife Jean at a Baptist College in Oklahoma, and they were married for 60 years. Theo is survived by his sister, Micki Stella and her husband, Tony; and by sister-in-law, Doris Keller and her husband, Bill; by his children, Brad, Julie Pence and Karl; and by four precious grandchildren, Kimberly, Clayton, Garrett and Samantha; as well as the spouses of his three children, Chris, Frank, and Lyuda; and by Jennifer, Clayton's wife. He was awaited in Heaven by his wife Jean, and parents Theodore and Mozelle Sommerkamp. Theo, a railfan, was "Conveyed to Heaven on a train commissioned by Jesus": the 'Canadian Pacific', a favorite. The family thanks Worthington Christian Village and Odyssey Hospice who last cared for Theo. Public funeral services will not be held. Instead, family members will hold a closed home prayer meeting. In lieu of flowers, contributions are preferred to the International Mission Board, 3806 Monument Ave., P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230-0767 or visit https://netcommunity.imb.org/SSLPage.aspx?pid=229 online. Condolences to guestbook at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dispatch/.
