Phillips Thomas D. Phillips, 84, passed away at his home in Columbus on June 1, 2014. He is survived by his devoted wife Margaret D. (Kolostyak) Phillips; and his loving children and their families, Thomas III, Maria, Mary, Stephen, Jackie, Carolyn, Marty, John, Mariam, Andrew, Timothy, Sherry, Rebecca, Thad, Raymond, and Lyen; and his 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister, Patricia Choquette of Springfield Massachusetts; and his brother, John Phillips (Elaine) of Westerville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Tom served in the United States Air Force for 20 years including deployment for a year in Vietnam in 1968, receiving the Bronze Star, and retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1972. He subsequently worked as a supervisor at Anheuser Busch of Columbus for 18 years. A Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Tom was active in church activities at both St. Thomas the Apostle and St. Catharine parishes. Friends may call Friday June 6, 2014 5-8 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street. Rosary at 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday June 7 at 10 St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2692 E 5th Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tom's memory may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, The Ohio State University Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences or Mt.
