Wilson Thomas R. Wilson, age 72, passed away peacefully April 21, 2013 at Riverside Hospital after a long illness. He was born November 8, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Thomas P. and Sarah E. (Thompson) Wilson. He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1959 and later from Ohio University with a BS in Education. He was preceded in death by brothers Larry Wilson and James Wilson. He is survived by sister, Marilyn (Don) Caldwell of Zanesville; and brother, Myron (Linda) Wilson of Blue Rock and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his friend of many years, Douglas Brownfield. Tom was a teacher in the Muskingum County School system for 11 years before moving to Columbus and working in the administration of the College of the Arts at The Ohio State University. He retired from that position in 1998. Tom loved to travel and traveled to many places in the world. His favorite place was Las Vegas where he had visited more than sixty times. Tom loved all animals, had several Siamese cats over the years, and hated animal abuse. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 South High Street, where service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013. The eulogy will be given by Dr. Michael Weiss and Father Rodney Damico will hold the service. Cremation will follow the service.
