Wedell Wesley Allen Wedell, age 82, passed away at home on January 5, 2014. Preceded in death by his dear wife of 55 years Nancy Hoffman Wedell. Survived by brother, Howard (Jean) Wedell of Van Nuys, CA; "kids", Dan and Mary Gray; grandcats, Spike and Zeus, and many friends and relatives. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Wes was an original, a man of many talents as comfortable with a chainsaw as he was with designing floral arrangements or window displays. Prior to Wes' 26 year teaching career at Columbus State Community College, he was employed by Montgomery Ward and Gordon Keith. Wes was a long time member of Cat Welfare Association, the Columbus Museum of Art, the Ohio Historical Society, former Players Theatre Columbus and WOSU. Special thanks to Patricia, Griswold Homecare, Mt. Carmel Hospice, Nancy Drake and Wes' 10th floor pals in Thurber Tower. Please consider a donation in Wes' name to Cat Welfare Association or an organization of your choice. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
