Lewis William Edward Lewis "Captain Easy", 86, of Upper Arlington, OH, passed away at home on May 19, 2013. He was born in Columbus, OH, in 1926 and grew up on Neil Avenue. He graduated from Central High School and joined the United States Marine Corps. He proudly and honorably served his country during World War II, being one of the millions saved. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and on the student board at the opening of the original Ohio Union. He was a member of the Sphinx Men's Honorary and President and member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. His chosen profession was Realtor; he was part owner of King Thompson Real Estate Company. He was preceded in death by his parents William Israel Lewis and Bertha Mae Steward. Surviving family includes son, William H. Lewis; daughter, Jessica L. Tomasek; grandson, Mitchell L. Tomasek; daughter-in-law, Vivian Dea; son-in-law, Randolph Tomasek. His family would like to thank close family and friends who were supportive, thoughtful, and loving to Bill and his children during his lifetime and illness. Special thanks go to Mary Dauberman and her faithful home health care staff, especially Jen and Amy, for taking care of Bill which allowed him to remain in his home. He was a unique and funny person with a strong love for his family and a strong work ethic that started with his paper route for the Columbus Dispatch where he was an Honor Carrier. He dearly loved and missed his wife, Anne H. Lewis, who died an untimely death in 1981. William and Anne will be buried together at Union Cemetery.
