Buell English Callahan, 83, Warrenton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at New Florence Nursing and Rehab Center, New Florence.|
He was born to Grover Callahan and wife Eunice, nee Mooney, Aug. 10, 1930, in Ellington.
Buell was united in marriage to M. Irene Inlow Jan. 10, 1974. They celebrated almost 40 wonderful years of marriage. The couple had recently moved to Warrenton to live with their grandson, David Cope, and his wife, Tammy.
Buell served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a Mason as well as a Shriner. Buell was a former member of the Teamsters local union. He loved being outside and his family very much.
Buell is survived by his loving wife, Irene Callahan, Warrenton; one daughter, Kelly Jean Bauer, Florida state; four sisters, Thelma Lites, McHenry, Miss., Faye Albright, Wentzville, Mary Hanger, Ellington, and Loise Brockmann and husband Larry, St. Ann; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Eunice Callahan; two sons, Charles and Lloyd Callahan, five brothers, Leonard, Bud, Jim, Bernis and Bob; and four sisters, Wilma, Dolly, Ruth and Virginia.
Per his wishes, all services for Buell will be private and held at a later date.
