Ernest H. Catrett Obituary
Ernest Harold Catrett Sr., 88, Truxton, went to walk with his wife, Joyce K. Catrett, Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at his home.

Ernest was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Stockton, Ala., the son of Willie G. Catrett and wife Vivian I. Ernest was a farmer who enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved his family and friends. He served in the U.S. Navy and fought in the South Pacific during World War II.

Ernest is survived by one son, Ernie (Lynn) Catrett, Truxton; two daughters, LaDene (Randy) Foster, Moultrie, Ga., and Joy (Bruce) Bell, Rougemont, N.C.; one brother, Hamilton Catrett; two grandsons, Michael Mercer and Ben (Emily) Catrett; three granddaughters, Courtney Bell, Rachael Foster and Megan (fiance Joseph Bowers) Catrett; three great-grandsons, Jack Robert Catrett, Raistlin Mercer and Noah Mercer; one great-granddaughter, Regin Mercer; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce K. Catrett; parents, Willie G. and Vivian I. Catrett; and one brother, Robert Catrett.

Funeral services were private.

Memorials to Wounded Warriors, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.

The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
