Sean Kosewicz Obituary
Cpl. Sean Patrick Kosewicz, Washington, 30, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, in Washington.

Sean, son of J. Walter Kosewicz and wife Marie, nee Conrad, was born March 14, 1984, in Mission Viejo, Calif. He received his education at Washington High School and graduated in 2002. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Feb. 5, 2007. Sean was a combat veteran and received many commendations during his four years of service. He received the Marine Corps Good Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. Sean was honorably discharged Feb. 4, 2011. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth McCleave May 2, 2007, and three children were born to this union. Sean was a pipe fitter, and belonged to Pipefitters Union 562.

Sean is survived by his wife, Liz Kosewicz, Washington; three sons, Patrick Kosewicz, Austin Kosewicz and Jax Kosewicz, all of Washington; parents, J. Walter and Marie Kosewicz, Washington; one sister, Kelly Kosewicz, MCB Camp Pendleton, Calif.; two brothers, Kevin Kosewicz and wife LaLitta, Kuwait City, Kuwait, and Brian Kosewicz and wife Kristin, San Diego, Calif.; grandmothers, Rosina Conrad, Washington, and Mrs. Joseph Kosewicz, Fort Worth, Texas; cousins, Megan Boyd, Brad Boyd, Patrick Helgerson and Tim Conrad; one nephew, Jackie Kosewicz; one aunt, Marie Kosewicz; two uncles, Peter Kosewicz and Dave Sheffield; and his brothers from 2/4 Fox Company.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe Kosewicz and Glenn T. Conrad; two aunts, Carol Helgerson and Nancy Dyer; and three uncles, Dan Conrad, Douglas Conrad and Eddie Kosewicz.

A memorial Mass was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Washington, with the Rev. Joseph Wormek officiating. Burial, with full military honors, followed in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

The Kosewicz family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington.
