Charles Edward Foye, Jr|
Sept. 5, 1930 to Aug. 3, 2014
Charles Edward Foye, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home. He was born in San Francisco and graduated from Lowell High School and Menlo College, and attended Stanford University. He had a brilliant mind, could fix anything, and loved to help others. He worked as a swim team dad, volunteer firefighter in Oregon, tax preparer and errand driver for seniors, and as a general go to guy for repairs for all of his neighbors, family and friends.
Charlie worked as a repairman and raced foreign sports cars including his 1958 Porsche Speedster from 1958-1961, racing at Laguna Seca, Vacaville and Cotati, often finishing first or second in his class.
Charlie is survived by his wife Cindee and their four daughters Cicily Briant, (Michael), Mardi Veiluva (Mike), Fredrica Helms (Jim), and Alexandra Guenthner (Jim), and by his four grandsons Edward and Alex Veiluva and Russell and Ethan Helms. He taught us to love with all of our hearts and that anything is possible. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of his life is being held from 1 to 5pm on Saturday, August 9th in Walnut Creek. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, San Francisco, CA, www.muttville.org
