Debra Ann (Salentine) Dehn Obituary
Debra Ann Dehn (Salentine)
Dec. 11, 1954 - May 10, 2014
Resident, Woodinville, WA
Intrepid and independent, Deb Dehn died Sat., May 10th, 2014 at her home in Woodinville. Deb was born Dec. 11, 1954 in Alameda California, daughter of Robert and Phyllis Salentine. At the age of 19, Deb was confronted by ovarian cancer, and was cured. She was curious, artistic and talented, and her intelligence and good sense opened to her a career as a Certified Financial Planner in the Bay Area. That experience inspired her to move to Seattle, where she joined Foster and Marshall in 1982. It was in Seattle that she met Frank H. Dehn, a Medical Device Engineer with many brothers, biological and fraternal. Frank and Deb were married in 1985, to the delight of all who knew them, and embarked on a life of hospitality and artistic innovation. Together they built a home in Woodinville, and more recently a retirement home on Guemes Island. In 1990, she enrolled at the University of Washington and graduated with honors in French Literature.
Eventually her early cancer treatments caused new issues, and Deb, working with a talented medical team, managed each challenge to her health as it arose. Beloved Deb is survived by her husband Frank, her father Robert, step mother Terry, siblings Karen and Steven Salentine, and Sharon Gahn, her brothers-in-law Bill (Donna), Mike (Patsy), and Starr (Gayle) Dehn and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her mother Phyllis and brother Kenneth pre-deceased her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd. San Ramon, CA on Sat., June 14th at 11:00 a.m.
