Robert "Bob" Wise grew up in Berkley, CA. During WWII he was enlisted in the Engineer Corps/2nd Military Government Regiment of the Army serving our country from 1943-1946. After the war he married his childhood sweetheart, Betty Flood, on Feb 17, 1946. In 1950 they moved to Walnut Creek where they raised three children; Susan, Jim, and Sally. Starting in 1950, Bob worked in the construction industry as a carpenter and estimator and retired from the the W.A. Rose Company in 1995. Bob was an avid duck hunter, fisherman, golfer, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition, he was an honorary lifetime member of the Walnut Creek Elks Lodge #1811. He often gave an assisting hand to his friends and neighbors with their home repairs and enjoyed great pride in his work.
Bob is survived by his son, Jim, and daughter-in-law, Jamie of Henderson, NV and his youngest daughter, Sally, and son-in-law, Brad, of Sonora, CA. He is also survived by his four loving grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his eldest daughter Susan in 2008 and his wife Betty in 2009. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Bob has been laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life on Sat. July 19th at 10 A.M. at the Oak Park Hills Chapel, 3111 North Main St, Walnut Creek, CA.
