RIGGS, Benjamin Lyle Returned to his Father in Heaven on February 10 in Payson, AZ. He was born March 9, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona but grew up in Chandler, Arizona graduating from Chandler High School. He was one of five children born to Lyle B and Willetta Nelson Riggs. He is survived by his sweetheart, Anona Despain Riggs, of 48 years and the loving father of 6 living children, Lyle (Veean), Brenden, Rafe (Tracy), BJ (Joni), Robyn (Duane), Laci (Brian), 10 grandsons and 7 granddaughters. He is welcomed Home by his son Shane, his sister, Loretta and his parents. He was a retired entrepreneur and agriculture consultant who developed a line of probiotic fertilizers sold internationally. Among his many accomplishments he earned a B.S. Degree from Arizona State University with further studies at the Thunderbird School of International Management. He owned a feedlot, farmed, designed and built custom farm equipment. He loved his Savior and served him faithfully. He spent many years working with Scouts and guiding his sons to become Eagle Scouts. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile, and after retiring he served two service missions developing campgrounds for the youth in Washington and the Dominican Republic with his wife. He is a published author, poet and was an amazing granddad. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. He will be sorely missed.Services will be Tuesday, February 18 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 913 S. Ponderosa St. at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Heber Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life for his birthday on March 8 at the home of Rafe and Tracy Riggs in Casa Grande.
