GABELMANN, Glenda Ruth
Glenda Ruth Gabelmann (Glass) of Spruce Grove, Alberta passed away in Devon on September 11, 2013 at the age of 65 from complications of breast cancer.
Glenda was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan March 1, 1948 ; daughter of Jack and Mary Glass, sister of John. The family moved to Lloydminister where Glenda attended high school. After graduation Glenda moved to Edmonton to go attend NAIT. She worked a variety of jobs including a telephone operator and for Imperial Oil. Her employment at Edmonton International Airport lead to her meeting Robert (Bob) Gabelmann who she married in 1972. Son Glen arrived in 1975 followed by daughter Roberta (Bobbi) in 1977. She enjoyed living in the country and being a homemaker and mother.
Glenda is survived by son Glen (Hilary), daughter Bobbi and her two grandchildren Katie and Carter, her brother John (Terri) and many other wonderful cousins, friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bob in 2005.
In respect to Glenda's wishes there will be no services held. If desired memorials may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or the charity of your choosing. The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone who came to visit and provided support to Glenda during this last year.
