SPENCER, William (Bud)
On Monday, July 7, 2014, Mr. (WO) William (Bud) Spencer passed away peacefully at the age of 81 years in Edmonton, AB. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan (nee McGowan), daughter Heather (Daniel), 2 grandchildren; Daniel and Jesse, sisters-in-law Charlene and Marcia, as well as many dear friends and family members.
Bud was predeceased by his parents Roy and Wilma, stepfather Ignaz, and brothers Edwin and Leroy.
Bud was born in Butte, Montana, and later grew up in Jarvie, Alberta.
Bud was very proud to have served in the Canadian Army for 28 years, and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Upon retirement from the Army, he was employed with PCL Construction.
Family would like to thank all the staff at Shepherd's Care Vanguard, and the Royal Alex Hospital for their compassion and caring for Bud.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel (16204 Fort Road, Edmonton) with Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
If family and friends desire, Memorial Donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Society.
