Itasca "Tassie" Annette Coles Davis, 93, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother of Fabens, Texas passed away April 8, 2013 at home with her family by her side. She was born August 17, 1919 in Houston, Texas to Howard and Edna Coles. Tassie attended the University of Texas at Austin where she met the love of her life, Claude Rives Davis, to whom she was married for 67 wonderful years. She was a member of The First Methodist Church of Fabens, President of the Republican Woman's Club, Charter Member of Rio Valle Woman's Club, and Parent Teachers Association. Tassie is survived by her son, Rives Davis (Valerie), granddaughter, Tammy Johnson (Frank), grandson, Troy Davis (April), son Howard Davis and granddaughter, Kristin Rodgers (Brian) and grandson, Casey Davis. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; J.C., Jake, Jett, and Jaxx Johnson, Sam and Brett Davis, and Zach, Makayla, and Alexandra Rodgers. She treasured her family and friends and was most at home on the family farm in her beautiful rose garden. The family wishes to express their gratitude for her wonderful care giver for many years, Rosie Aguirre, Pebble Creek Nursing Home, and VNA Hospice. Pallbearers will be Troy Davis, Casey Davis, Frank Johnson, Brian Rodgers, Albert Beltran, and Bobby Lettunich. Honorary Pallbearers are J.C. and Jake Johnson, Zach Rodgers, and all her beloved friends. The Davis Family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Funeral service at 2:00 pm at Funeraria
