HANNA, Madeline Louise Hanna, WI native, passed away in Charlotte, NC on March 12 after a valiant battle with cancer. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dr. Erin Hanna Baker, and son-in-law, Sam Baker of Charlotte, NC, her mother, Adeline Blundy, sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Pete Groves, of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack). Madeline graduated from Arizona State University, taught Home Economics at Riverside High School and was the director of the Teen Parent Academy in the Ysleta ISD until her retirement. She relocated to Albuquerque and taught at Independence High School. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She leaves behind many friends, colleagues, former students, and her loving family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Humane NM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saint's Lutheran Church in Albuquerque.
