Philip L. Davidson, 90, passed away March 24, 2014. He was born in Marion, Indiana. Upon high school graduation, he joined the Coast Guard. From 1942 to 1946, he served aboard the USS Spencer in both the Atlantic and Pacific. The Spencer was the first ship to capture a German U-boat. After the war, he studied for two years to become a Master Piano Technician. He moved to El Paso in 1956 and founded Davidson's House of Music in 1961. A member of several service organizations, he loved music, golf, and entertaining his many friends. He was preceded in death by Delphine M. Davidson and Teresa Lama Davidson. He is survived by his sons, Philip N. (Terri) and Jack A. (Cam), four grandchildren, a great grandson, and his special love and best friend, Tencha Vela.
