Mr. Palacios,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country while serving with the 36th "Texas" Infantry Division fighting the Germans during World War II in North Africa and Italy especially at Salerno in September of 1943 and the Rapido River in January of 1944 and as a POW-God knows what you had to endure. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I treasured the time I spent visiting with him and salute him for the hero that he was. He shared stories about my father with me.
