Albert H. "Bert" Cornman, age 87, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2014, following an extended illness. He was born in Erie on June 19, 1927, son of the late George and Hazel Cornman.
Bert was a United States Army
veteran. He had been employed as a welder and cabinet maker for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed working on automotive repair jobs with his grandchildren and working on crossword puzzles.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Clara V. Lewis Cornman; his four children: Valerie Gabbard (David) of Alabama, Patricia Aderman (Robert) of Erie, Harold Cornman (Michelle) of Erie, and Phillip Cornman (Carol) of Florida; a dear sister, Ruth Smith; and a dear brother, Jack Cornman (Ann), all of Erie; four sisters, three brothers, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
