David I. Brown, 79, of Conneautville, passed away peacefully, at Meadville Medical Center's Transitional Care Unit, Sunday, August 10, 2014. He was born the son of the late Orion and Blanch Rihel Brown, on July 4, 1935.
He entered the United States Air Force
and served our country for eight years. He married Carol Gresh on July 13, 1957. She survives.
His work history includes working at Weber-Harris Ford, the Viscose, Shoreline Trucking, in Painesville, Ohio, and most recently, he worked buying and selling at flea markets. He also loved his little dog Tabitha, who brought him a lot of joy.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, David is survived by four children — John Brown and his wife Millie of Conneautville, Linda Brown Reavis of Nashville, Tenn., David Brown of Conneautville, and Terry Brown Davis and her husband James of Lagrange, Ky., two sisters — Esther Garwood of Connersville, Ind. and Barb Mascetti and her husband Ruben of Meadville, two brothers — Chuck Brown and his wife Darleen of Meadville and Bill Brown and his wife Kathy of Cochranton, a sister-in-law — Judy Brown of Boonesville, N.C., a brother-in-law — Bob Williams of Cochranton, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers — Henry (Hank) and Raymond, and two sisters — Irene Klinginsmith and Hazel Williams.
Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday August 13, 2014, from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00-7:00 p.m., at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, PA 16406. The funeral service will be Thursday August 14, 2014 at 11:00, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Spring Cemetery. United States Air Force Military Honors will be assisted by the Erie Crawford County Burial Detail.
