Mr. David Lee Wentz, age 87, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 in Plant City, due to natural causes. He was born May 24, 1926 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Mr. Wentz served in the United States Navy during WWII.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dale Wentz, Sr.; and a daughter, Elaine Sue Wentz.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Wentz; son, Gene "Zeke" Wentz; brothers, Butch Wentz of Sarasota and George Wentz of Florida; sisters, Sally and Barbara of Sarasota and Virginia of California; grandchildren, Dale Wentz, Jr., Tammy Learn and Kevin Wentz, all of Erie, Pa.; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; a stepson, Larry Snarski; stepdaughters, Dorothy Dworzanski and Joanne Brewer.

The visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery. The family has asked that flower choices be limited.
