David Witherow, age 86, of Erie, embarked on his final road trip on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family and faithful canine companions, Casey and Travis. David was born July 2, 1927, son of the late David and Jennie (Hinderliter) Witherow.

with the Brookside Fire Department, and served for many years.

Dave especially enjoyed his winter home at Outdoor Resorts of Orlando, Fla., where he served as a board member and president for many years.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy, Wayne, Howard, Charles, Paul and Donald, and a grandson, Adam Gray, son of Connie Bryan.
