Eric Paul Roudybush, age 24, of Greene Township, passed away on Sunday March 9, 2014, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Erie on November 13, 1989, a son of Eric F. and Donna Caldwell Roudybush.

Eric was currently serving in the United States Army and stationed in Savannah, Ga., with the 3rd Battalion 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), as an Aviation Life Support Technician. He was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom three times. Eric was also a member of the American Legion and VFW in Savannah, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Paul and Janet Roudybush.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Mark Daniel Roudybush; his maternal grandparents Marge and Ray Smith and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16504, on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and are invited to services there on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., with full military honors. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
