Floyd J. Cochran, age 74, of Erie, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie, son of the late Harold and Virginia Hamilton.
Floyd was an electrician, working at Kaiser Aluminum and then Accuride until his retirement. He was a member of the Moniuszko and Siebenbuerger Clubs and enjoyed his friends at the Lakeview Tavern. Floyd was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps
. He was very talented in woodworking and handyman work. He could fix or make anything.
Floyd is survived by four daughters; Kelly Donahue (Edward Spencer), Robin Hosch (George), Diana Matos (Richard), Julie Silvis (Kory). 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Donahue, Trevor, Jillian & Brian Spencer, Erica & George Hosch, Ashley & Richard, Jr., Matos, Keri, Katrina and Katlynd Silvis; two great-grandchildren, Annalise and Braydon; a sister, Norma Horvath (Kal), and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly and his second wife, Elizabeth, an infant son, Brian, and a brother, Herbert Cochran.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc. East, 2607 Buffalo Rd. on Wednesday from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
