Gary W. Billig, age 67, of Millcreek, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie on December 21, 1945, son of the late Wayne and Marjorie Billig. Gary was employed as a supervisor at GTE prior to retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Vietnam War. Gary was an active member of Millcreek American Legion Post #773 and was past president of their Home Association. He was also a member of the Sportsman Club, Elks Club and Moose Club. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Gary is survived by his wife, Kathy Grucza Billig; one daughter, Wendy Williams; one son, Rick Billig; four stepsons, Kevin and Kyle Grucza and Ricky and Austin Rohler; one brother, David Billig; one sister, Carolyn Rapp; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. No calling hours will be observed. A private service will be held by the family with honors being rendered by Millcreek American Legion Post #773.
