Howard H. Hetrick, age 94, of Harborcreek Township, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Manor Care Health Services – Erie. He was born in Jefferson County, Pa., on August 4, 1920, the son of the late Stewart and Maggie Wolfgang Hetrick.

Howard was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII. He and his first wife Grace, were active with the Wesleyville Little League for many years. He retired in 1982, from Zurn Industries.

Howard was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace, and his second wife, Mary; a daughter, Genevieve; and granddaughter, Laurie.

He is survived by two sons, Mervin (Colleen) Hetrick; Gary (Marian) Hetrick; one stepdaughter, Sally Skinner; seven grandchildren, Melody (Michael), Lawrence, Jr. (Laura), Matthew, Sharon (David), Sherry, Christopher (Taryn) and Jill; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 10:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Tommy O'Leary. Interment will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to the Iroquois Little League, c/o 806 Nagle Rd., Erie, PA 16511.
