James E. Donohue, 64, of Erie, passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Erie he was born October 4, 1948 a son of the late James R. Donohue and Adeline Riford Donohue Wallach.

James graduated from Cathedral Prep and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He worked at Hammermill Paper Company for over 30 years and went on to work at Forestview as a Certified Nursing Assistant. He was a member of the Maennerchor, Siebenbuerger and Moose Clubs and enjoyed traveling, computers and war history.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin John Pytlarz and one aunt, Marian Cline.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janice M. Biletz Donohue; three daughters, Katherine Pytlarz and her husband Henry Jr. of Erie, Janet Donohue and her significant other, Andrew Kroh of Erie, and Karen Rice and her husband Nathan of Planefield, Ind.; and one granddaughter, Samantha Pytlarz.

Services will be private and burial will be Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the , PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.
