James H. Morris, age 69, of Greene Twp., passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Presque Isle Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Erie on June 13, 1943, son of the late John H. and Sophie Ann Pius Morris. He had lived in the Erie area all of his life. James was a graduate of Harbor Creek High School, class of 1961, and attended Penn State University, Altoona Campus. He was employed with General Electric Co. for 39 years, retiring in 2001. James was Chief Union Steward for U.E. Local 506. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and the GE Retired Employees Association.James enjoyed going to the casino. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. James is survived by one sister, Nancy Szoszorek of Harborcreek; three brothers, Ronald Morris (Martha) of North East, Gerald Morris of Findley Lake, N.Y. and John Scott Morris of Westfield, N.Y. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 8:30 p.m., with Msgr.
