James Hanson Boyer, 90, of Cary, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Uni-Health Post Acute Cary of Raleigh.

James was born March 30, 1923 in Kenmore, Ohio. He moved to Erie, Pa. at age seven and was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School in 1942. James was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and was a business owner of Boyer Wheel Alignment Services. He retired to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1980 and then to Cary, N.C. in 2005.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elsie M. Boyer; two daughters, Patricia Rose and her husband, Donald of Apex, N.C.; and Phyllis Rehbein and her husband, Edward of Beckley, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Julie Moore and her husband, Steven; Brian Rose; Matthew Rehbein and his wife, Waleska; and Angela Rehbein and her husband, Ryan McCullough; three great-grandchildren, Samuel Moore, Charlotte Moore, and Benjamin Rehbein; sister, Carol Boyer of Florence, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
