John T. "Tom" Reagan, age 81, of Erie, died surrounded by his family, at his residence, after a brief illness, Thursday, January 23, 2014. Born in Erie, he was a son of the late Cecilia (Gredler) Reagan and Terence Reagan Jr.
Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, in Korea, where he received the Bronze Star
. He was a graduate of Gannon College and was a self-employed salesman. He was a motorcycle and car enthusiast, and also a history buff. Tom was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.
Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Stoltz) Reagan; a daughter, Mary Freeman, husband Robert, of Erie; a son, John Reagan, wife Lorraine, of O'Fallon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Katherine Paulsen, husband Eirik, Elizabeth Strahin, husband Arthur, Michael Reagan and Collin Reagan; a brother, Terence Reagan III, wife Maxine, of Pierce, Nebraska; and a sister, Carol Johnson, husband Arnold, of Erie.
Tom's family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Great Lakes Hospice.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd., Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. and to attend prayers there Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
