Lawrence Mark Rogers, 63, of Union City, Pa., passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, December 15, 2013.
Lawrence was born January 17, 1950, in Union City, Pa., the son of the late Russell and Gertrude (Dine) Rogers. He was a graduate of Union City High School, was a foreman at the former Cherry Hill Division of Ethan Allen Furniture Company, of Union City, Pa., and later retired from Troyer Potato Chip Company, of Waterford, Pa.
He loved his grandchildren and also hunting. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #882, and also of the American Legion, LeBaron Post, #237, both of Union City, Pa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Myron, Melvin, Theodore, Gene, Thermon, and Frederick.
Survivors include his wife Linda (Rodgers) Rogers of Union City, Pa., two sons, Stephen Rogers and his wife Brenda of Union City, Pa. and Michael Rogers Sr. and his wife Michelle of Cambridge Springs, Pa., a sister Jeannette of Florida, two granddaughters, Marlie and Maylin and three grandsons, Michael Jr., Matthew, and Mark, and a very special sister-in-law, Marty Rogers of North East, Pa.
Friends are invited to call at the Robert M. Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 62 South Main Street, Union City, Pa., on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and to attend funeral services there on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
Rev. James Parkinson, of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate with interment in Loomis Cemetery, Bloomfield Township.
