Norman L. McIntyre, 82, died Thursday, July 31, 2014. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on March 2, 1932, to Louis and Florence M. McIntyre.
Norm proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949 - July, 1958. During his tour in Korea as a tank driver in the Armour Division of the 3rd Infantry, he was awarded the Bronze Star
Medal. After his discharge, he began a career as an electrician and lineman working out of Grand Rapids, Michigan - IBEW Local 876.
Norm moved to Texas in the 1970s, continuing his electrical career. Some of Norm's favorite past-times included seeing the country, riding his motorcycle, listening to all kinds of music, dancing, and living life to the fullest.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and his son, Kelly. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving partner in life and dancing, Sandra Horton; his daughter, Hope Lynn Fogus and her children and grandchildren; step-children, Darleen and husband, David, Emily, Kathleen, Randy, Ricky; and a host of wonderful friends.
Inurnment service Friday, August 15, 2014, 11:15 a.m., Houston National Cemetery.
