Oliver Lee Bryant, 70, 160 West 8th Street, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Golden Living Center-Walnut Creek. He was born in Erie, Pa., on December 18, 1941, son of the late Thomas and Essie Bryant. A lifelong resident of Erie, he was a graduate of East High School. After graduation he went on to serve in the U.S. Army for four years. Oliver was employed as a Truck Driver for Team Hardinger Trucking and also owned and operated a Next to New Shop in Erie. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, chess, yard sales, cross country driving, and witnessing to people through his church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Ann Bryant; and a sister, Olivia Bryant. He leaves to cherish his memory five sons, Oliver Bryant and wife Lynn of Virginia, Craig Bryant of Harrisburg, Pa., Michael Bryant and wife Ishia, Oliver Williams and Daniel Bryant, all of Erie; nine daughters, Debora Lugo and husband Eduardo, Lisa Bryant and husband Jerome Pettis, Alicia Green, Michelle Carr, Adrienne, Naomi, Anita, Marita and Jacqueline Bryant; and many, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may join the family for a memorial service on Wednesday, November 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Christ Deliverance Church of the Apostolic Faith, 307 East 4th Street (corner of 4th and German), with services conducted by Pastor John Manning.
