Peter Biletnikoff, age 84, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital. The last surviving sibling, he was born December 27, 1929, in Erie, the son of the late Sylvester and Frances Panameroff Biletnikoff.

Peter was a graduate of Erie Technical High School, and served in the US Navy, during the Korean war. While in the Navy, he was a championship boxer.

Peter retired after 30 years with Eriez Magnetics, where he had worked as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, following high school football, and traveling.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Ephriam, Wassell and Matthew Biletnikoff, and by five sisters, Frances D'Aurora, Betty Vahoviak, Christine Simon, Helen Samueloff, and Jean Sabatine.

Peter is survived by his three children, David Biletnikoff of Erie, Samuel Biletnikoff of Vancouver, B.C., and Susan Biletnikoff and her husband Vern of Ind. He is the grandfather of Mark and Derek Biletnikoff and the great-grandfather of Mya. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th and Liberty St., on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Private burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
