Raymond J. Osiecki, age 87, of Harborcreek, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Ball Pavilion. He was born in Erie on February 8, 1926, son of the late Anthony and Alexandria Muszynski Osiecki. reRaymond was employed by Kaiser Aluminum until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Harborcreek. Ray was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in the European Theatre and had participated in the Battle of the Bulge, where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a graduate of East High School where he won numerous swimming and water polo medals. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Maille Osiecki; two daughters, Karen Kleck (Ron Lord) and Kathleen Boucher (Lew) all of Erie; two sons, Paul Osiecki (Laura) of Coppell, Texas and Daniel Osiecki (Pam) of Simpsonville, S.C.; three sisters, Mary Vogt of North East, Theresa Petak of Edinboro and Anne Pokryiecki of Wattsburg; nine grandchildren, Christine Kleck Galket (Greg) of Seven Fields, Pa., Matthew Kleck of Erie, Dr. Timothy Kleck of State College, Pa. Andrew and Madeline Boucher of Erie, Benjamin and Zachary Osiecki of Coppell, Texas and Colin and Carsyn Osiecki of Simpsonville, S.C. He was preceded in death by three sisters, six brothers, and a son-in-law, Michael Kleck. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy R.C.
