Robert E. "Bobby" Dymski, Jr., age 55, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at UPMC Hamot. He resided in Erie. He was born in Warren, Pa., on December 28, 1958, on the Feast Day of the Holy Innocents, son of Robert E. Dymski, Sr. and the late Jeanne Hayes Dymski.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother James M. Dymski and his wife Judi, two sisters: Mary Beth Kendra and her husband Michael and Carol Jean Akerly, all of Erie, three nephews: Bradley, Jacob and Corey and three nieces Jessica, Sarah and Cari. A great-nephew Kaden also survives.
Bobby was a member of Mt. Calvary R. C. Church. He worked at the Barber National Institute. He was active in the Special Olympics
, winning six awards, most in running events.
The family wants to give special thanks to Bobby's caretakers Joe and Chris at Supportive Living.
Friends may call at Mt. Calvary R. C. Church on Friday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., please use the Euclid Avenue church parking lot entrance. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning, at Mt. Calvary Church, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank, 1507 Grimm Dr., Erie, PA 16501.
