Ronald J. Hahn Sr. Obituary
Ronald J. Hahn Sr., age 75, of Erie, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at St. Mary's Home East. He was born in Erie on July 4, 1937, a son to the late Paul W. and Beatrice J. Coburn Hahn. Ron was a retired Erie firefighter with over 30 years of service and was a founding member of The Breakfast Club. He was a 1956 graduate of Strong Vincent High School, attended Northwestern University, and served with the United States Marine reserves. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, camping and especially boating and fishing with his grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gail (Rollinger) Hahn; his children; William Hahn, wife Debbie, of Athens, TN, Erin M. DeMarco, husband John, Kathleen Black, husband Mark, and Ronald J. Hahn Jr., wife Debbie, all of Erie; a brother, Gary Hahn, wife Linda, of Erie; six grandchildren, Kyle and Michelle Hahn, Taylor Penpek, Gina K. DeMarco, Veronica and Andrew Black, He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Ron's family would like to thank those at St. Mary's East who were so kind and caring during the time he spent with them. Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes and Crematory, LLP, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38th Street on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and may attend services there on Friday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. John the Baptist, 509 East 26th St. at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
