EAST BERLIN Clyde L. Groupe, 85, of East Berlin, died Monday, October 14, 2013, at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. Clyde was born March 22, 1928, in New Chester, the son of the late John H. and Sarah M. (Cooley) Groupe. Clyde was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Hanover, served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and retired from Precision Components in York. Clyde is survived by a sister, Floetta C. Zeigler of East Berlin; and three brothers, Leroy K. Groupe of York, Burnell E. Groupe of Charleroi, and Nelson C. Groupe of York. He was predeceased by four sisters, Reba R. Howe, L. Wyleen Clapper, Margaret C. Wilt, and L. Pearl Runk. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Good Samaritan Fund of The Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350.
