HARRISBURG David L. Blouch, 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was the husband of Elsie (Black) Blouch for 53 years. He was born in Hummelstown, on February 25, 1931, and was the son of the late Paul and Margaret (Behrens) Blouch. David worked as a blacksmith for Hanover Shoe Farms and shoed horses in the local area. He was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed playing horseshoes in a league in New Cumberland, bowling, and watching Penn State, the Phillies, Redskins, and Washington Capitals Hockey teams play. He truly loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his beloved wife, Elsie, he is survived by a son, Scott Blouch and wife, Robyn of Harrisburg; a daughter, Joan Crum and husband, David of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Brad, Michael, Cheryl, and Lisa; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Madilyn; a brother, William Blouch; a sister, Doris Milby; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and a sister, Mary. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Harrisburg, with a memorial service celebrating David's life to begin at 12 noon with Pastor John Briggs officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to the American , 1019 Mumma Road, Suite 100, Wormleysburg, PA 17043; or to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 4813 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
