HAMPSTEAD, MD Elmer Evans Cullison, Jr., 85, died on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Carroll Hospital Center. He was the husband of Elaine Zander Cullison, his wife of 62 years. Born October 26, 1927, in Trenton, Md., he was the son of the late Elmer Evans Cullison, Sr. and Sadie Elizabeth Cox Cullison. He was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Poole of Hampstead, after his mother died when he was a baby. He served in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Okinawa. He formerly repaired TV's and radios from his home in Manchester. He had been an avid tenpin bowler in his early years and was also a big fisherman. He retired from Black & Decker after 37 years of employment. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Karen Abramczyk and grandchildren Crystal and Kevin Abramczyk. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and former son-in-law, James Abramczyk. He will be missed by his beloved cat Punkin. He was predeceased by a brother, William Marshall Cullison; and a baby sister, Sadie Marie Cullison. The family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Schenning officiating.
