HANOVER Lloyd A. Hershey, 66, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Hester A. (Laughman) Hershey, his wife of 43 1/2 years. Lloyd was born July 8, 1948, in Porters Sidling, the son of the late Wilson E. and Mary V. (Rohrbaugh) Hershey, Sr. Lloyd was a member of St. Bartholomew United Church ELCA in Hanover, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the East Berlin V.F.W. In addition to his wife Hester, Lloyd is survived by two daughters, Tammy A. Hershey of Hanover and Theresa H. Elliott of Frederick, Md.; two grandchildren, Chelsia A. Stull of Hanover and Logan M. Elliott of Frederick, Md.; three brothers, Wilson Hershey, Jr., of Seven Valleys, Donald Hershey of Palmyra, and Richard Hershey of Stoverstown; and four sisters, Lois Bange of McDonald, Tenn., Dorothy Wildasin of Spring Grove, Evelyn Rovinette of Hanover, and Dolores Lucabaugh of Shiloh. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew United Church, 1204 Grand Valley Road, Hanover, with his pastor, the Rev. Steven Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's "Dubs" Church Cemetery in Hanover. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford.
