HANOVER Mary Catherine "Cathy" Broskovich, 63, formerly of North Braddock, Pa., passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at home. She was married for 44 years to her loving husband, Mike Broskovich. Born May 23, 1950, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late George R. "Red" and Marie (Madden) Coles. Cathy was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hanover. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially with her grandson, David. Other memberships include the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #763, Hanover, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #227, Hanover. In addition to her husband, Mike, Cathy is survived by two daughters, Michelle A. Broskovich of Pittsburgh and Marie Broskovich of Hanover; and a grandson, David Rojas of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Margaret Weichler and Jack O'Brien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover 17331 with the Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons serving as celebrant. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover 17331 and on Tuesday from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, Pa. 15017 with Father Joseph Grosko of Holy Trinity Catholic Church leading the final committal.
