HANOVER Rev. Ray W. Turnbaugh, 82, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his residence. He was the husband of Edna (Heller) Turn-baugh, who died November 22, 2009. Ray was born October 9, 1930 in Bellwood, the son of the late Ray S. and Helen M. (Snyder) Turnbaugh. Ray was a member of Evangelical Free Churches of America Ministerial, served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was an active volunteer at Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. Ray is survived by a son, Kevin D. Turnbaugh and his wife Lori of New Oxford, and a brother, Alton Turnbaugh and his wife Zeta of Bellwood. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Hamm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Jesus Messiah Evangelical Free Church, 109 Flickinger Rd, Hanover, with Dr. Arthur Woods officiating. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, and on Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Military honors will be provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of The Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350; or to a Christian mission of your choice.
