GETTYSBURG Thomas R. Gardner, 83, passed away November 22, 2012, at Hanover Hall. Born April 25, 1929 in Cuddy, son of the late James and Sarah (Henry) Gardner. Thomas was a loving husband, dad, and pop-pop. He was married 60 years to his wife Mary Ann, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Thomas was retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot after 39 years. After his retirement, he worked for Cedar Ridge Golf Course for several years. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, the VFW of Littlestown and Adams Co. Fire Assoc., Commander of the CWV of Bonneauville, President of the Bonneauville Fire Company, and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Ann (Orndorff) Gardner; son, Drew Gardner and wife, Mary; daughter, Lynn Hoff and husband, Patrick; five grandchildren, Brooke (Bevenour) Aumen, Abby Myers and husband, Todd, Natalie Stuffle and husband, Luke, Brian Hoff, Alee Hoff; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary Myers and Lindsay Stuffle. Along with his parents, Thomas is predeceased by three brothers, James, Joseph and George Gardner; and one sister, Bridgette Gardner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Bonneauville at 10 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012. Followed by a gathering for family and friends at CWV in Bonneauville.
