NEW OXFORD Warren W. Berkheimer, 88, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at The Brethren Home Community. He was the husband of M. Rosella (Garber) Berkheimer. Warren was born July 6, 1925, in Abbottstown, the son of the late Robert C. and Clara (Jamison) Berkheimer. Warren was a member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church in New Oxford, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was also a life member of the East Berlin V.F.W. and a member of the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club. In addition to his wife Rosella, Warren is survived by caregivers, Linda Garber Messinger and Andrea Weaver. He was predeceased by three brothers, Fred, Bud and Robert Berkheimer; and five sisters, Pearl Fisher, Thelma Dolheimer, Helen Piho, Clara Myers and Marguerite Kessel. Following cremation, a visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 3 to 4p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with TAPS being played at 4 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325; or to the New Oxford Athletic Boosters, 130 Berlin Road, New Oxford, PA 17350.
