Dobbe, Anneliese "Hedy'

Anneliese "Hedy" Dobbe, age 89 of Theresa, WI, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014, at her home.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27 at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tn. Lomira, WI with Pastor Matthew Kuske officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at the church. Inurnment will take place on a later date.

Hedy was born the daughter of Johannes "Hans' and Magda (Koepcke) Rahjes on March 29, 1924, in Kensington, KS. She was united in marriage to James W. Dobbe on February 9, 1944, in Tn. Lomira. During the course of her life, Hedy had many jobs and was proud to help establish the farm. She was a 4-H leader, Town of Theresa Clerk, office manager for Ashford Mutual Insurance, and as local reporter for the Mayville News.

Hedy was a member of the St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tn. Lomira, where she was a past Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. In her spare time, Hedy enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, baking and her cat, Max. Most important to her was the time she spent with her family and passing on the family traditions to the next generations.

She is survived by her children,Kathy (Carl) Benter of Theresa; Karen (Harvey) Weigand of Theresa; John (Kit) Dobbe of Laugna Niegel, CA.; and Jim (Cher) Dobbe of Seal Beach, CA.; her brother, Delmar Rahjes of Theresa; her grandchildren, Kristine (Ken) Best, Julie (David) Boelter, Jennifer (Dean) Adelmeyer, Steven Weigand, Benjamin (Samantha) Weigand, Greg (Sommer) Dobbe, April (Tony) Demaggio, Doug (Darcey) Dobbe, Alexis Reta, Kiersten Reta, and Natasha Reta; her great-grandchildren, Nick, Adam, Hannah, Josie, Libby, Emily, Jacob, Anneliese, Zoe, Faith, Shawn, Aaron, Marlowe, Sabrina, Brooke, Nick, Kyle, Ryan, and Geneva. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and sister-in-law, Ethel Rahjes.

Memorials may be directed to Winnebago Lutheran Academy or St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Tn. Lomira.
