Meisner, Marion L.
Marion L. Meisner, 77, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born April 23, 1936, in Wausau, the daughter of John and Margaret Schultz Schnur. She married Jerome D. Meisner on May 26, 1955, in Fond du Lac. Jerome preceded her in death on October 10, 2003. Marion was a graduate of North Fond du Lac High School. She was formerly employed by the Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter for 10 years, retiring in 1998. Marion loved hiking, playing cards, bingo, puzzles, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Brian (Wendy) Meisner of Garland, TX; David Meisner of Fond du Lac; and John Meisner of Ripon; three daughters, Patty Dais of Fond du Lac; Pam (Bruce) Desmond of Neshkoro; and Pauline (Kevin) Conger of Rosendale; 17 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Phyllis (Phillip) Gruenstern of Fond du Lac; a brother, Eugene Schnur of Walnut, CA; a sister-in-law, Betty Hall of Fond du Lac; a brother-in-law, Eugene Meisner of Arizona; and an aunt, MaryAnn Taggert of Michigan. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son-in-law, Mark Dais, and two brothers.
Visitation for Marion L. Meisner will be on Saturday, November 30, 2013, from 3 to 5 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 5 PM at the funeral home on Saturday. Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
