Kott, Jr., Royal R.

Royal R. Kott, Jr., 88, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away February 14, 2014. He was born May 3, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, to Royal R. Kott, Sr. and Helen Anderson Kott.

Royal was U.S. Air Force veteran and an educator. He taught Mathematics at Goodrich High School and Saint Mary's Springs with over 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Royal was very civic minded; active in the Kiwanis and was a past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Club. He had also become a Razorback Booster. Royal loved his family and was a devoted father and grandfather.

He was predeceased by his parents; wife of 50 years, Rosella Kott; and second wife, Sue Kott. Royal is survived by children, Richard Kott of Ashland, Wisconsin; and Susan Kott Gruba of Rudolph, Wisconsin; three brothers and a sister; and four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Village United Methodist Church with Rev. John Atherton officiating. Interment will be in Hot Springs Village.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Royal's honor may be made to Arkansas Food bank.
