of Leominster; 95

LEOMINSTER -- Aime George Desilets, 95 years old, of Leominster, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the Life Care Center of Leominster. He is survived by his sisters, Jacqueline Mills of Brockton, Sister Gilberte Desilets, Daughter of Holy Spirit of Putnam, CT and Fernande Desilets of Leominster and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Olga P. (DiMassa) Desilets in 2011. Also predeceased by his brothers Roger, Fernand, Robert, Henry and Jean-Jacques (named Brother Michael of O.T.S.O. of Holy Cross Trappist Monastery), sisters Jeanne Roberge, Alice Vigneault, Blanche Y. Desilets and Jeannette Isabelle.

Aime was born in St. Angele de Laval, P.Q. Canada on July 12, 1918, son of Eric and Blanche (Hebert) Desilets and has lived in Leominster for nearly 90 years. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. He had worked at the former Rockwell Wool Co and had owned D&D Toy Factory in Leominster for several years. He was also a licensed barber. Aime was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Leominster.

DESILETS -- Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a Mass at 11 am in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial with military honors will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Saturday morning from 9 - 10:30 am in the funeral home.
