George L. Dauphinee
of Princeton, MA; 88

FITCHBURG -- George L. Dauphinee 88, a resident of Princeton, MA., passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 in The Golden Living Center, Fitchburg, MA. after a long period of declining health.

George was born in Boston, MA. on September 3, 1924 the son of Clayton and Gladys (Wormell) Dauphinee.

He worked many years as a furniture maker and was able to make almost anything with wood. He also enjoyed playing cribbage. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, and was honorably discharged in 1945.

He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Madeline (Sullivan) Dauphinee who died in April of this year, and by sons, Robert and Thomas Dauphinee. He is survived by sons, George l. Dauphinee Jr. and his wife Linda of Milford, Connecticut, and Paul F. Dauphinee and his husband Paul R. Leone of Princeton, MA., a grandson Thomas Dauphinee Jr., a granddaughter, Jennifer Dauphinee, and a great- granddaughter Hailey, all living in Tampa, Florida. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Clayton, Clarence, and Clyde.

The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff on the Third floor West at the Golden Living Center for the wonderful, caring, and compassionate care they gave George over the last six years.

DAUPHINEE -- Funeral services and Interment with Military Honors, will be held on Thursday September 5, 2013 in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. at 10a.m. There are no calling hours.
